Morihei Ueshiba 植芝盛平 (1883-12-14 – 1969-04-26) was a famous martial artist and founder of aikido. He is often referred to as Kaiso 開祖 (founder) or Ōsensei 翁先生 (Great Teacher) by some aikidoka.
